StrYve Bio

With the likes of Eminem and new-comers Big Sean and Mike Posner, The Great Lakes state is certainly making noise on the national hip hop scene. However, a legion of talent just outside Michigan’s Motor City is still untapped. 24-year old StrYve (born Patrick Jordan Sulzman) is prepared to be the next artist to emerge from this heap of emcees and bring Michigan’s own Capital City into hip hop prominence. Influenced by the music of 2pac, Bone Thugs, Kanye West, Nas, Eminem and countless others, Patrick began rhyming at the age of 8.

Mixing the gritty rhyme styles of the ’90s golden era hip hop he loves, with his own unique, new school attitude, Pat has been striving relentlessly to make his mark on the rap game. While attending Central Michigan University, StrYve embarked on a career in hip hop gaining success in the Local Spotlight and throughout the State‘s college campuses, releasing the mix-tape “This Is My Day Job” earning Pat recognition as a definite up-and-comer to watch out for.

Now, StrYve is more hungry than ever, and with two goals in mind; putting his hometown Lansing, MI on the map and creating incredible music that will last through the generations. Prepping the release of his first official mixtape, entitled “Welcome to the Fast Life” hosted by DJ Khaled’s The Chemist Music Group, along with his first official Music Video boasting the Indie/Pop Hit, “Bye Bye”, directed by MitchWhy (Trick-Trick, Lil Boosie, LA the Darkman), StrYve has his sights set on showcasing a Fresh New Sound within the rap game, saying: “My music comes from all different genres of music. Whether its old school rap, new school rap, bands like Nirvana or the electro-pop band the Postal Service, my aim is to make a new sound of my own, while sticking to the formula of that classic hip hop music.”
